“Dim and Vague” would be a cool name for your autobiography.

Dim and Vague despite pretty accurately representing my personality has so many multiple meanings beyond that that I really do think it is a good title.

Best newsletter so far! Granted, I have not read the pre-substack ones…but, I love the pictures and thoughts here. Totally relate, however, not to the aphantasia thing. You should start an aphantasia support group. Aphantasia Anonymous? haha…ok, I’ll leave now.

Check out reddit.com/r/liminalspace - empty spaces often take on a very "liminal" feeling in the right conditions.

An article in the Guardian a few days ago also referenced Marc Augé’s non-places regarding the forever cruises. Interesting stuff:

Great newsletter. I love wandering around my city looking at those places people ignore. The little things you notice by avoiding the “breathtaking” can be amazing by themselves.

Definitely can relate to often thinking of, and being drawn to, these mundane, non-places

Do you dream “dim and vague”? I’m fully aphantasia but dream very vividly… always thought that odd…

Mostly yes. I have occasionally had vivid dreams but they are rare.

I’m like a 4.75 so I’m just vague.
